I am a 60 year old greatgrandmother and I love to craft. This all started when my best friend since primary school sent me a handcrafted birthday card a couple of years ago. I am disabled so crafting provided me with the perfect hobby.
I have been married to Norman for more than 40 years and he always reminds me that the sentence is shorter for murder. We have 3 daughters and 2 sons, 6 granddaughters and 4 grandsons and 1 great granddaughter and 2 great grandsons.
My husband and I have been medically retired for over 10 years following a house fire in which we lost most of our belongings but thankfully not our precious children. Other health issues have stopped me in my tracks but crafting has been the most amazing therapy. I have always knitted but that's as far as my crafting went. I now make far too many cards but those that friends and family don't take are given to charity.
My new hobby is jewellery making (ok I've only had 1 lesson but the next one is on Wednesday).
My craft heroes are Joanna Sheen, Sharon Duncan, Sue Smith and Sara Davies. Oh to have their talents.
Hi Shirley, Love the new blog, will warn you it is an addiction. Love the cards and your wee Grandson in such a happy chap. Love Hazelxo
